Racial Equity Grant for Individual Artists in Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn (WDEF) – ArtsBuild is a local nonprofit organization that helps support artists in our area.

The organization is announcing a Racial Equity Grant for Individual Artists program.

The program renews grant-funded support for artists of color  who identify as Black or African-American and are living and working in Hamilton County.

Each year a different group will be prioritized for grant funding.

Grant funding will be available in three funding categories: Artist Works, Equipment, and Professional Development

“Public is a big part of Chattanooga and one that we love to support so we are responding through this grant program to specifically support the amazing work that they produce that really makes Chattanooga a unique place. This gives them a voice for their artwork to be shown and shared with our community,” says Miriam Manda, Manager of Grants for ArtsBuild.

Award amounts will be up to $10,000. Applications will be accepted between May 3, 2021 and May 31, 2021.
