Red Bank & Collegedale will shake up city government on election day

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – With most of the attention directed toward the races of the U.S. House and the State Senate, there are local elections that are grabbing attention.In Red Bank, three of the five commission seats are contested in this election and current mayor Hollie Berry is running against opponent, Dari Owens.

In Collegedale there are four candidates are vying for just two open positions on the board of commissioners. The two incumbents Ethan White and Larry Hanson, are not running for re-election. The 2022 ballot includes Billy Burnett, Morty Lloyd, Tanya Sadler, and Ted Rogers. Two of the candidates are former employees of the city of Collegedale. Rogers served as city manager while Sadler worked as the spokesperson for the Collegedale Police Department. Lloyd is a senior pastor and Burnett has worked as a paramedic and assistant chief for 29 years in Hamilton County.
