Remote Area Medical treat local patients for free

RED BANK, Tenn. (WDEF) — Hundreds lined up just for the opportunity to receive free medical care.

‘Remote Area Medical’ is in town and setup at Red Bank High School.

It’s mobile medical clinics offer free medical, dental and vision care.

Underserved, uninsured and underinsured patients come by for much needed medical attention.

Diana Belnep does not have medical or dental insurance and drove two hours to be seen by a doctor.

“Because a lot of people don’t have healthcare and they can’t get care. I went years and years and lost most of my teeth because I had nowhere to get my teeth taken care of,” Belnep said.

Next weekend RAM will be in Athens.

They are in need of medical professionals who can volunteer their time.
