Report: Guilty Pleas entered in Dalton Craigslist Case

Dalton, GA (WDEF) – According to The Dalton Citizen, three individuals have pleaded guilty in last year’s armed robbery of a Whitfield County woman after meeting through Craigslist.

After making arrangements for the sale of her GMC Sonoma truck through the popular website, Mayra Espitia met David Wayne Williams, 48, when she was stabbed multiple times.

Williams pleaded guilty to attempted murder and was sentenced to 30 years without the possibility of parole, followed by a probationary period of five years.

Siblings Donna Gail Warren, 51, and Jerry Wade Warren, 50, also pleaded guilty to the Craigslist robbery, the newspaper reports.

A significant clue which leading to Williams’ arrest was his wallet and personal identification, which he dropped during the struggle with Espitia.
