Riverbend reports brisk ticket sales on first day

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Riverbend announced a lot of changes last week for this year’s festival.

But they haven’t gotten a good handle on what the public thinks about them, until today.

Tickets went on sale today for this summer’s event, even though only one act has been announced.

And Friends of the Festival are probably pleased with the results.

Riverbend is offering 5 Tiers of tickets, depending on how early you buy them.  The first tier is the cheapest and they increase in price as we progress through the tiers.

Within a few hours, this year’s festival sold out their three cheapest tiers.

Riverbend isn’t telling us how many tickets they had allotted for each tier, so we don’t know just how many have been sold so far.

Now we are to the $75 tickets in Tier 4.  You can only buy them online right now here.  But whatever is left will go on sale at Harry’s and Food City stores on April 15th.

Friends of the Festival promised to announce more acts in the next couple of weeks.
