Riverfront Nights returns for the 13th year

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- Chattanoogans gathered for a rare, in person, live concert.

Riverfront nights returned tonight for it’s 13th year.

The free summer music concert was postponed last year because of COVID-19.

Atlanta tribute band Electric Avenue covered Prince’s top ten hits.

The Hamilton County Health Department was also on site giving out the COVID-19 vaccine.

Friends of the Festival says that this is great way to kick of the summer and begin the journey back to life before COVID.

Mickey McCamish, Friends of the Festival President, says, “So, it’s a win win. Live music, city government, county government working together, what better evening can it be. I think after 13 years of doing Riverfront nights, it’s a sure sign of return to normalcy and we’re glad to lead the way to make that happen.”

If you missed tonight’s show, don’t worry, there are 9 more shows planned for this summer.
