CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Despite it’s reputation as ” The Scenic City,” Chattanooga has the second highest property crime rate among Midsize Southern Cities, according to a study by Homeinsurance.com published on Quotes.Safeco.com.

Chattanooga’s overall property crime score is 985.96, with a population of 174,449.

Chattanooga ranks above cities like Knoxville, Atlanta, and Birmingham on the list.

In 2012, the New York Times listed Chattanooga as No. 25 on its list of “The 45 Places to Go” in the world.
