Sand Mountain woman killed by a bull

FLAT ROCK, Ala. (WDEF) – Investigators in DeKalb County, Alabama are blaming an aggressive black bull for the death of a woman near Flat Rock.

EMT’s were called to the home on County Road 805 on Thursday.

They found the body of 57-year old Mamie Hubbard Bowen in an animal pin.

But the bull wouldn’t let the medic get near her.

Eventually, the removed the animal and found that the woman had been killed.

Sheriff Jimmy Harris says “this was a tragic accident that happened. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends during this tragic time.”
