Sequachee Valley Electric to Work Overnight to Restore Power

A few power lines in the Sequatchie Valley reportedly froze over due to freezing rain this morning. This caused almost seven hundred reported power outages in Grundy county. Sequachee Valley Electric has restored a few hundreds of those since then, but they predict they’ll see more later tonight.

Sequachee Valley Electric VP of Mktg and Communications, Shelby Potterfield says, “We do have crews working in the Grundy county area, extra crews have been called in and are working there and will continue to work through the night to restore power to all of our members. Our number one safety rule is to stay away from downed power lines, we want everyone to stay safe, our crews and our members.”
