Shelter animals evacuated to Chattanooga after Hurricane Matthew
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Many people across the southeast had to evacuate their homes during Hurricane Matthew, and shelter animals were no exception.
That’s why both the Humane Educational Society, and McKamey Animal Center in Chattanooga took in 17 dogs from Horry County, South Carolina.
They were taken from animal shelters there.
The dogs were already up for adoption, but had to leave the area because of the storm.
If you’d like to take one of them home, contact the Humane Educational Society, or McKamey Animal Center.
