The shooting was the second call this morning at a Harrison home

HARRISON, Tennessee (WDEF) – Hamilton County investigators have the rest of the story about Tuesday morning’s shooting in Harrison.

It started with a domestic assault call to 9126 Westminister Circle off of Hickory Valley Road around 3:20 AM.

The resident identified 36 year old Joseph Perkins as the suspect, but he fled before deputies arrived.

Then they got a call two and a half hours later about a shooting at the same home.

This time, the woman said Perkins returned and attacked her.

But during an altercation, Perkins was both shot and stabbed.

He fled the scene again before deputies arrived.

But he eventually emerged from the woods and lay in the street.

Perkins was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening wounds.
