Shooting Suspect From Near Lookout Valley Waffle House In Custody

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) The suspect Michael Shavers is now in custody.

He was found in a cave in Tenton, GA by Chattanooga Police Department’s Fugitive Division.

Dade County deputies and the U.S. Marshall’s Service helped CPD.

Shavers was booked in the Dade County Jail.


Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) Police now identify the victims as 22 year old Ashley Harris and 25 year old Joshua Maples.

They now say that the couple was leaving the restaurant when Harris’s ex-boyfriend opened fire on them.

Police say they are now in the process of arresting Michael Shavers on charges of Attempted Murder.

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) Chattanooga Police investigate a shooting overnight near the Waffle House in Lookout Valley.

Investigators say two victims arrived at the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The shooting happened around 12:45 AM as the couple was leaving the Waffle House on Cummings Highway.

Investigators call it a domestic dispute.
