Six Flags & Silver Dollar City show off stomach churning rides

Spring brings flowers, warmer weather and roller coasters.

ATLANTA (WDEF) – For Media Day at Six Flags Over Georgia, the theme park gave us a new look at an old roller coaster.

The wooden Great American Scream Machine has been thrilling riders since 1973.

But for a limited time this season, you can get a whole new perspective from the ride.

Six Flags will run the Scream Machine backwards.

So instead of seeing where you are falling, you’ll head down the slope backwards, looking up at the sky.

The park is open weekends now and begin opening during the week in April.

Six Flags ran Batman: The Ride backwards a few years ago.
