Snow Fall Projections for the Tennessee Valley from Chip Chapman

Here are the latest snow fall projections, although I think many of these are slightly understated.
3-5 inches is a good, safe bet and some areas will pick up 4-6 inches, if not more.
Winter storm warnings cover the entire Tennessee Valley and extend as far south as Atlanta.
This promises to be the biggest winter weather event so far this season.
It will begin as a cold rain, but will quickly change to sleet and then snow.
Once the snow begins, expect steady and at times, heavy snow for 8 to 10 hours.
A few flurries early Thursday morning and then again on Friday.
        One note on the graphic.
The Ellijay snowfall number seems low and will most likely increase by noon.
