Spring Break programs for kids at The Tennessee Aquarium
CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Over the next four weeks the Tennessee Aquarium has two new programs for visitors to learn more about the plants and species.
Young visitors will learn how to view the native wildlife from the perspective of an aquarium expert.
Director Thom Benson says this is a perfect way for people to focus and learn the species that are here in the Southeast.
“We really want them to focus during spring break on southeastern species because they are right here in our backyard. And we have some really amazing animals. So this week the kids will get to meet gopher tortoises.. will get to meet birds and all kinds of things through the program over the next four weeks.”
Benson says he hopes that these programs are able to have kids and adults go to their own backyard and have knowledge of the species they see.
