State representative pulls seat belt bill
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The bill to put seat belts on all Tennessee school buses has been pulled.
Area state lawmakers tell News 12 it will be on hold until 2018.
We’re told it will stay in the same committee, so lawmakers won’t have to go through the other committees that already passed the legislation this fiscal year.
Representative Joanne Favors sponsored the bill, after the deadly Woodmore Elementary School bus crash last fall.
