34 teachers from southeast Tennessee graduated from the STEM Fellows Program Thursday.
STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and math and focuses on the importance of these the skills.
Executive Director for the Chattanooga Technology Council says the program is a great benefit to student’s futures.
Ex. Dir. Ronna- Renee Jackson says, "It’s really important that we have programs like the STEM Hub, the STEM school, that are educating students in STEM disciplines, and teaching the critical thinking skills that are required for the students to be successful in their new jobs."
Each teacher completed a year long professional training session to be certified as a STEM qualified teacher.
