Storm Damage Across Northeast Alabama

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) – Residents in some northern Alabama communities are removing fallen trees and crews are repairing power lines toppled by storms.

The National Weather Service reported trees and power lines down in Lauderdale, Cullman and DeKalb counties after Monday’s thunderstorms.

In Florence, the TimesDaily reports that workers on Monday afternoon were responding to several reports of power outages, downed trees and downed, live electrical lines.

In Cullman County, an emergency manager reported that some trees fell onto houses in the northeast part of the county.

In DeKalb County, another emergency manager said the storms tore the tin roof from an apartment complex about 5 miles northeast of Ider.
