Suspect charged in Sand Mountain shooting

ROSALIE, Alabama (WDEF) – The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department has charged a suspect in a shooting and fight Saturday night in the Rosalie community.

Investigators say it happened around a bonfire off County Road 78 near the Bluff.

They say two men got into a fight which ended in the shooting.

The 18 year old victim was flown to a hospital in Chattanooga.

Deputies later found 21 year old Shawn Dale Brown from Rainsville hiding in the woods nearby.

He has been charged with attempted murder.
