Suspects in mall fireworks scare appear in court

Chattanooga, Tenn. (WDEF) — Two of the four suspects involved in the Hamilton Place Mall fireworks incident last month were in general Sessions court today.

Lawyers for 22-year old Garrian King, and 25 year old Darrisha Landmon did not appear in court.

A hearing for them has been set for March 15th.

But 31-year old Reese Cosby was there to bargain with substitute judge Chris Helton through his lawyer.

“As part of him agreeing to waive this preliminary hearing, two unrelated charges are being dismissed your honor. The state’s already commented the dismissal on those,” said Cosby’s lawyer.

20-year old Diamond Jones has been out of jail on a 14-thousand dollar bond since the December 26th incident.

She also agreed to skip a preliminary hearing. Her case will go to criminal court.

All four were arrested after a thousand dollars in merchandise was stolen from the Victoria’s Secret store at Hamilton place on December 26th–and fireworks were set-off as a distraction.

The mall has increased security by adding off-duty police officers since that incident.
