TDFN: Signal Mountain at East Ridge

Tennessee Valley (WDEF) — Tonight, Signal Mountain faces off against East Ridge.

Offense was tough to come by early in the game, so if you like defensive battles this was the game for you.

The pioneer defense came up with a big play early when Tom Vatters passed it and it is picked off by Zian Daniels.. big pick deserves a big celebration.

Pioneers trying to get some points off the turnover, Alonzo Russell takes the hand off, and has no where to go. He reverses field and goes the other direction, but he is still bottled up. That’s not the type of play that puts points on the board.

So the pioneers look to the air. Eric Bennett throws it to Eli King, but Signal Mountain says it is a no fly zone.

Back to the ground game we go. Russell again this time finding some space, comes up just shy of the endzone.

East Ridge goes back to the air, and Bennett goes back to King. He slides in with the td grab!

The pioneers slide to a smooth 21 to 17 win over signal mountain.
