Fri 2/20/2015 10:20 PM EST

All air temperatures are staying below freezing, and most roads have accumulations of patchy snow and ice. All roads are open at this time. Drivers are urged to use caution if they have to travel or better yet, just stay home until the weather improves so our people can continue salting and plowing operations. Right now we are concentrating on the interstates. Once we are satisfied that the interstates are in good shape, we will resume operations on our state routes. All of our roads are open, but they are covered with patches of ice and snow. Please monitor the TDOT SmartWay website for updated information on roadway conditions https://smartway.tn.gov/traffic/.

Highlights from report:

District 27 (Cookeville & Crossville) – Accumulating snow on I-40 in this district. Crews are salting and plowing.

District 28 (Dunlap & Tullahoma) – Patches of snow and ice on I-24 in Monteagle. I-24 in Manchester has accumulating ice. Crews are salting and plowing.
