Teacher and Husband Killed in Christmas Crash in Bradley County

CLEVELAND, Tenn. (WDEF)- A teacher in Bradley County and her husband are dead following a fatal crash on Christmas Night.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Brittany and Dustin Dillard, both 33 years old, were killed around 6:30 Sunday evening on U.S. Highway 64 in eastern Bradley County.

The preliminary report says that they were traveling with three children in their Jeep when a Izusu SVU driven by 42 year old Patrick Conley crossed a median and struck them head on.

Conley was traveling westbound and traveled off the roadway into the median, eventually striking the Dillards who were traveling westbound, the report says.

The children in the vehicle were injured and taken to area hospitals, their conditions are unknown.

Conley was injured in the crash as well, his condition is unknown.

Charges are pending against him, according to the report.

Brittany Dillard was a teacher at Walker Valley High School.

The school’s website says she taught physical sciences.

prayers. We are heartbroken for their loss.”
