Tennessee American begins Red Bank projects

RED BANK, Tennessee (WDEF) – Tennessee American Water started work today to replace mains on James and Ashmore Avenues in Red Bank.

The project involves replacing pipe installed in the 1920s with 6-inch diameter mains.

The project will cost approximately 300-hundred thousand dollars and is scheduled to be finished by mid-July.

External Affairs Manager Daphne Kirksey says it’s just one of several projects that the company is hoping to complete by the end of the year.

“This is one of several main replacement projects that we’re doing in several capital improvements, about $25 million worth in capital improvement projects that we are doing here in Chattanooga in 2021.”

Traffic within the area may be impacted by the road work, but traffic control will be on site to redirect drivers as needed.
