Tennessee Aquarium Hosts New Spring Break Activities

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Spring break at the Tennessee Aquarium means your child can get in on a cool, educational event that only comes around once in awhile.

It’s called Critter for a Day.

With the cost of admission, your children can learn all about their favorite animals.

They’ll be able to make crafts, and meet Chef Aqua.

That’s the person responsible for feeding all the mouths at the aquarium.

Organizers say you’ll also learn interesting facts, like did you know their turtles and fish eat more than 5,000 heads of lettuce each year.
Thom Benson, the Communication Manager at the Tennessee Aquarium, says, “At our mask-making station, from 10am until 2pm, kids will have an opportunity to make a mask of their favorite critter that they can wear through the aquarium. They’ll have a name tag that says, Hello, I’m an otter or a McCaw or shark, and as they go through the buildings, our staff will make it a little bit fun for them.”

The special program is $18.95.

It’s available from now until April 10th.
