The Weekend Calendar – 4 Items of Interest

The weekend calendar features a full line-up for the entertainment circuit.
Music, Theater, and literature highlight some of what’s going on.

Art Garfunkel made his mark in music as half of the popular folk duo, Simon & Garfunkel.
“Mrs. Robinson,” “sounds of silence,” and “Bridge Over Troubled Waters” highlight his works.
Garfunkel performs Saturday night at 8pm at the Tivoli.

“Adventures Of A Bear Called Paddington” opens at the Chattanooga Theatre Center tonight at 7pm.
The accident prone bear goes on several adventures in this production.
The Circle Stage production will also be performed twice Saturday and once on Sunday.

The fourth annual Lookout Wild Film Festival moves to Memorial Auditorium for the weekend.
67 selections highlight the outdoors… From hang gliding and snow boarding to paddling and rock climbing.
Screenings begin at 7pm tonight and 2pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Fans of science fiction, fantasy and horror novels will gather this weekend at the Chattanooga Choo Choo for the 41st ChattaCon convention.
Best selling author William Dietz will be the guest of honor.
He’s penned several Star Wars, Halo, and Starcraft books.
The event starts today and runs through Sunday.
