Thousands Attend GoFest

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Thousands came out Saturday for the city of Chattanooga’s 12th annual GoFest.

Families got a free day at the zoo. They also took advantage of face painting, Touch-a-Truck, and pictures with popular movie characters.

However, organizers say the event is more than just a day of fun.

“It started out with living life without limitations, and we kind’ve rebranded that this year to reaching new heights, and what that means is bringing together everybody, no matter if you’re disabled, or you don’t have a disability, bring you together to one event to show you that we’re all not too different from each other,” said organizer Chris Brown.

Brown says GoFest also connects many Chattanooga service providers with the people they serve.
