Thrasher Bridge Reopened after Wires Fall on Highway

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Highway 153 bridge at Chickamauga Dam had to be shut down due to downed power lines falling just north of the bridge near the TVA buildings.

Traffic in both directions slowed significantly as drivers were rerouted onto alternate roads.

Shortly after 5 p.m. this evening, traffic was reopened in both directions as EPB was continuing to finish work on utility poles in that area.
