Three arrested in alleged drug trafficking operation
FORT OGLETHORPE, Georgia (WDEF) — A police traffic stop leads to an alleged drug drug trafficking operation and the capture of three trafficking suspects.
According to an incident report obtained by News 12, a Chevy Blazer traveling west on Cloud Springs Road was pulled over because it had a defective tag light.
Three occupants identified by police as Christopher Hall of Chattanooga, Frank Giles Jr., of Ringgold, and Bryan Porter of Rossville.
All three men were asked to exit the vehicle after a drug sniffing dog picked up a suspicious sent. According to police, Giles stepped out of the vehicle and threw some marijuana onto the ground.
While searching the SUV, police found several bags of drugs that included:blue crystal meth, morphine, oxycodone, and marijuana. They also found more zip lock bags, a scale, and an undisclosed amount of cash.
None of the three suspects claimed ownership of the drugs so all three were taken into custody.
After the arrest, one of the suspects reportedly left a hypodermic needle in the arresting police officer’s squad car.
All three man have been charged with possession of oxycodone, possession of morphine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and drug trafficking
