Three People Shot and Killed in Varnell McDonald’s Parking Lot
Authorities say three people are dead following a murder-suicide in Varnell, Georgia.
One of the victims was an eight year old.
The victims have been identified as Melissa Ball, Christopher Eric Whitmore, and their child Grayden Lee Whitmore.
Officials received a call of persons shot shortly before 7 PM last night.
It happened in the parking lot of a Shell gas station, located at 3800 block Cleveland Highway.
The couple had previous domestic issues and was separated at the time of the incident.
Investigators determined that Christopher Eric Whitmore pulled out a handgun and shot their son while he was sitting in the back seat of the vehicle.
Whitmore then immediately pointed the gun at Ms. Ball and shot her, and then shot himself.
