Tim Kelly Wins Chattanooga’s Mayoral Run-Off Election

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- All the votes have been counted in Chattanooga’s Mayoral Run-off.

Tim Kelly out gained Kim White at the polls by a handsome margin of more than 5 thousand votes.

Now, his immediate priority will be closing the health disparity gap in Chattanooga

“Our very first job will be to hire a Director of Public Health” said Kelly. “The county has done a great job at this point but we gotta finish out the process of getting everybody vaccinated.”

Kelly will also focus on reviving local businesses burdened by the pandemic.

“We’re talking to some folks about really trying to get big head start on the small business support and the minority business enterprise center to get small businesses here relaunched” said Kelly.

The Mayor-Elect’s vision also includes getting the little things right as well.

“What’s the first immediate change that people can see once you take office” asked News 12’s Winston Reed.

“A lot of the pieces of this campaign is blocking and tackling and getting simple city services right. So that’s going to be a very high priority” said Kelly.
