Tony Bigoms Granted New Trial
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- A convicted Chattanooga murderer is granted a new trial.
Tony Bigoms was convicted of killing and dismembering Dana Wilkes back in 2012.
Wilkes was a 48-year-old dialysis worker in Chattanooga.
Court papers show the two were friends at the time.
Bigoms is now serving a life sentence for the murder, plus four years for abuse of a corpse.
There’s no word yet on when the new trial will be, or why the court of criminal appeals decided to grant a new trial.
