Tractor Trailer mishap closes Retro Hughes Road

BAKEWELL, Tennessee (WDEF) – 38,000 pounds of steel and other material is blocking a road up Bakewell Mountain.

It rolled off a tractor trailer Thursday morning in one of the hairpin curves.

The driver wasn’t hurt in the incident.

But Retro Hughes Road will be closed until it can be cleaned up.

And that could take the rest of the day.
