Tunnel Hill officer faces child sex charge
ROSWELL, Georgia (WDEF) – A law enforcement officer in northwest Georgia has been charged with a sex crime.
Abraham Galvan was a part time officer for Tunnel Hill police.
But police in Roswell, Georgia have charged him in an undercover operation targeting child predators.
They say he traveled to a Roswell shopping center to have sex with a 14 year old girl.
Their investigators say Galvan initiated contact online with a person who he believed was a juvenile and set up a meeting.
Chief Roy Brunson from the Tunnel Hill department says Galvan worked limited hours and was still on his initial probationary period.
So he was immediately terminated.
