Two Bradley County Sheriff’s Office officials resign

CLEVELAND, Tenn. (WDEF) — Bradley County Sheriff Eric Watson announced Saturday that two officials have resigned their positions.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Chief Deputy Brian Smith and Director of Administrations Arnold Botts who served with distinction for the past 4 years have left their positions.

The Sheriff’s Office says Smith is exploring opportunities in the private sector while Botts told the Sheriff the timing was right for his family.

In a release, Sheriff Eric Watson said, “Bradley County Sheriff’s Office is fortunate to have had public servants as talented and as dedicated as Chief Smith and Director Botts. While I will miss their counsel, I wish them and their families the very best. They are among the most respected leaders at the sheriff’s office regarding professionalism and accountability. I want to wish them the best in  their future endeavors.”
