Tyner Academy vs. Signal Mountain High School

Signal Mountain, TN (WDEF) – Not sure there are train tracks up Signal Mountain, but the Ram train managed to head up the mountain Friday night as Tyner took on the Eagles of Signal Mountain.

The Rams are ranked third in the state in Class 2-A, and they were looking to push their record to a 3-0.

Kickoff was delayed over two hours thanks to the weather.

The field was wet, so obviously the ball was wet too.

Kind of makes a pitch hard to handle.

Eagles fumble on their opening series, and Chaysen Patrick recovers at the Signal Mountain 28.

Eagles defense bows up.

Bryson Foss #70 gets into the backfield.

He helps Keointae Halfacre for a five yard loss.

Later from the nine, the Rams pitch it to Shannon Spralls.

Big hole, and then Spralls lowers the boom as he goes in for the touchdown.

That’s worth a second look.

Spralls says I like contact.

Rams get physical on defense too.

Kenrick Fuller blows this play up and Collin Farr to the ground.

Fuller’s jersey gets tangled up.

No wardrobe malfunction though.

Moments later, Eagles run the option to Farr.

He gets the corner and scores from 12-yards out to tie the game at seven.

The Rams win 48 to 16.
