United Way celebrates 10th anniversary

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The United Way of greater Chattanooga is celebrating its birthday with 100 days 100 ways campaign.

This birthday celebration campaign is meant to encourage simple acts of kindness throughout the community.

This is all leading up to impact days where the community will volunteer all together on September 16th and 17th.

The United Way of Greater Chattanooga president says they are having this new campaign as a means to spread a new message to create a new sense of hope in the community.

Lesley Scearce of United Way of Greater Chattanooga says “But we really believe our community needs now more than ever as unity. United Way is not an organization it’s a way of living. It’s a movement.”

If you commit an act of kindness United Way is asking you to help spread the word through 100days100ways.org and tag on social media at United Way CHA.
