UPDATE: “Grinch of Chattanooga” suspect in custody

UPDATE: Chattanooga Police say "The Grinch of Chattanooga" suspect Tony turned himself in Wednesday morning.

He’s charged with theft of property.

He’s out of jail now on a $1,000 bond.


Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – Police have now identified "Chattanooga’s Grinch" as Tony Ho.

Chattanooga Police say to keep an eye out for Ho who’s wanted for taking packages from people’s front porches.

The packages are deliveries from UPS, FedEx or USPS.

He’s driving a the white automobile pictured.

Police also have some tips for when we are expecting deliveries.

They say to make sure you know what time they will be delivered, and if you can’t be at home at that time to have the package held at the deliver center for pick up.

Also, if you receive a big ticket item like a TV, make sure to break down the box or take it directly to the City dump.

Remember the thieves are looking for signs like a TV box on the side of the road.

Police say to also report any suspicious behavior.
