Update: Murder suspect pleads guilty in Bradley County

Update: The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office said Antonio George pleaded guilty to the murder of Aason "Josh" Davis Friday. 

George was originally charged with second degree murder in November .

He pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of Criminally Negligent Homicide. He was sentenced to 8 years in prison for that charge and a previous charge of Violation of Probation.

The sentences will run consecutively. 
CLEVELAND, TN (WDEF-TV) -Bradley County Sheriff Eric Watson announces the arrest of a person in the shooting death of 36-year-old Aaron “Josh” Davis of Cleveland in the early morning hours of November 23rd.

Davis was shot at a residence on Georgetown Road early that Sunday, and died a few hours later at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga.

A week of intensive investigation by members of the BCSO Criminal Investigations Division, led to the issuance of a warrant for Second Degree Murder on Antonio George.

On Monday morning, accompanied by family members, Antonio George turned himself into Sheriff Watson at the Bradley County Jail to face Second Degree Murder charges due to the death of Aaron “Josh” Davis. Mr. George was booked into the Bradley County Jail.

Sheriff Eric Watson commended the family of Antonio George for their peaceful and valuable assistance in placing Mr. George safely into custody.
