Van tied to Amber Alert found in Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — A van tied to an AMBER Alert was found abandoned in a Chattanooga parking lot.

On Thursday, a statewide AMBER Alert was issued by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation on behalf of the Rockwood Police Department for 17-year-old Haley Nicole Brandenburg.

Investigators say Brandenburg has a medical condition and does not have access to her medication. She was last seen in Rockwood wearing tan Adidas pants with a pink stripe down the side and a green Subway shirt. She wears glasses and has braces. She is believed to be in the company of Robert Andrew Garren.

Rockwood Police say the van they are believed to be in, a beige 2006 Honda Odyssey, with Tennessee tag 240-KZS, was recovered in Chattanooga on Friday.

The Rhea County Sheriff says the van is registered in Rhea County. He says he is working with the TBI and Rockwood Police Department to follow up on every lead.

If you have information on the whereabouts of Brandenburg, call 1 (800) TBI-FIND (1-800-824-3463).
