Vehicle theft update

(WDEF) – One Chattanooga man has been arrested in connection to stolen vehicles according to the Chattanooga Police department.
In an affidavit acquired by News 12, police said 22 year old Corey M. Fletcher, Jr. was found driving a stolen Jeep.
According to the affidavit, Fletcher said he did not know the vehicle was stolen and was given the car by a friend.
The affidavit goes on to state Fletcher was transported to Hamilton County Jail for theft of property and warrants.
According to the affidavit, this came after a Chattanooga police officer said he saw three vehicles matching the stolen jeeps description at an abandoned home on Belle Vista Avenue.
Jenkins Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep General Sales Manager Mark Jenkins said eight vehicles were stolen.

According to CPD, Five vehicles have been recovered, three vehicles remain unaccounted for at this time.
