Juveniles Face 10 Charges after Vehicle Pursuit, Crash

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — A traffic stop in Chattanooga resulted in a vehicle pursuit and crash, the Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) said.

On Wednesday, Chattanooga police had a pursuit with a stolen vehicle on Lee Highway.

There were five suspects, all juveniles, CPD said.

While police were pursuing the vehicle, the juveniles crashed into three other vehicles.

CPD says the juveniles all fled the scene after the final crash. However, police detained them not long after.

Police say EMS treated everyone involved in the incident. They say there were no major injuries reported.

CPD says the juveniles face multiple charges:

  • Attempted Theft from a Motor Vehicle
  • Aggravated Assault
  • Felony Evading
  • Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Dangerous Felony
  • Unlawful Carry
  • Theft (possession of a stolen vehicle)
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance
  • Speeding
  • Failure to Maintain Lane
  • Reckless Endangerment
