Veterans Day Tribute at Ringgold High School

Ringgold, Ga (WDEF)- Although it is not Veterans Day yet, one high school is showing appreciation to those who served in the armed forces.

Ringgold high school played host to many veterans in the community… but also had some historical guests show up.

Veterans dating back to World War II, the attack on Pearl Harbor, and the Vietnam War were presented with awards tonight from the students and faculty.

The public also enjoyed a musical performance as well.

Alex Lawhon, who is a U.S. Marine Corps was moved by the tribute and had this to say, “It means a lot to me because for the community to come along and to say to us veterans that, ‘hey, we care for you, we love ya and that we appreciate you and that we want to show some appreciation to you in that it means a lot’, it means an awful lot to me.”
