Virginia College Recruiting New Students

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Some prospective students are seeing if they want to attend Virginia College in Chattanooga.

The school hosted a “Go For The Gold” event, where potential students could see what the college has to offer.

Attendees even got to check out an outdoor festival, and see live demonstrations by current students.

There was an Iron Chef Cook-off, face painting and more.

Admission counselors were also on-hand to discuss different career options.

“It gives them the opportunity to tour and see all the things we can offer to help them finish, to help them start and get it done,” said Elisha Hardekopf, Virginia College admissions director. “A lot of students don’t start sometimes because they don’t know what to do, how to do it, and we have a supportive staff here to help them start and finish what they’re trying to accomplish.”

Classes start October 5.

Virginia College offers programs in fields such as business, cosmetology, and culinary arts.
