Vols Battled Through Injuries to Cap 8-4 Regular Season

The Tennessee football team held their final workout in Knoxville on Monday before hopping on a bus for Nashville to start prepping for the Music City Bowl Friday against Nebraska.
The Vols were hoping for a bigger bowl destination, given all the preseason hype.
But UT finished the regular season 8-4.
Head coach Butch Jones is likely wondering what if, had the team not been ravaged by injuries.
Said Jones:”I told our football team that I don’t think there’s another football program in America that could go through what we went through this year. You have the inordinate amount of injuries to particular all-conference players, but across the board. And again, I’ve taken this time to talk to a number of coaches, and they’re calling me saying how did you do it? How did you manage? You had so many adversities happen. I think we’ve managed them. Obviously some didn’t turn out the way we wanted it to, but it’s something to continue to grow and develop.”
