Vols Hoping For a Breakout Season in 2015

Tennessee joined the party at SEC media days on Tuesday.
And for the Vols, they’re hoping for a breakout season in Butch Jones third year on Rocky Top.

Hard for the Vols to escape the cameras at SEC media days, and the questions about high expectations.
Reporter-"Preseason picks aren’t out yet, but Tennessee is expected to maybe be picked to win the East, or at least be in the top two. How do you feel about that after the past couple of years."
Said linebacker Curt Maggitt,"It’s definitely awesome. It’s the reason we come to Tennessee to a program like this."
Said Butch Jones,"The expectations are a little bit different than what we’ve had in the past. But again, that’s what you want. That’s why these players came to the University of Tennessee. Want to be part of a program that has very high expectations."
Said quarterback Josh Dobbs,"You’re going to see a team that is motivated and driven to win. We’re excited for this upcoming season. We have taken a lot of steps forward since last season and throughout this offseason. So we’re ready to go come September."
Josh Dobbs has a lot to do with that motivation, going 4-1 after being named a starter last season.
Said Dobbs,"Since I got on campus, I’ve treated myself as the starting quarterback. It’s always different when you’re named the starting quarterback. Just how your teammates feel you. It has been a great opportunity to push my teammates even more to continue to motivate them and get them ready for this season."
Besides returning a veteran quarterback, Coach Jones is excited about the guys blocking for him.
"For the first time since we have been at Tennessee, we were able to walk out to spring practice, and have two full lines of scholarship players."
Jones added that Tennessee just looks like a better football team.
"We use a term called ‘Sunday Bodies.’ We joke about it. It’s an on-going joke. We don’t need any Thursday for Friday bodies, we need ‘Sunday Bodies.’ And the kids kind of joke with each other, but they’ve taken pride in the weight room. They’ve taken responsibility for their own personal growth and development."
And playing with ‘Sunday Bodies’ should help Tennessee achieve higher goals.
Said defensive back Cam Sutton,"Hungry. That’s the only way you can really explain it. We want more."
Added Maggitt,"A bowl game is definitely on the list. That’s for sure. But we want to go beyond that."
