Vols Jabari McGhee Out For Tenn Tech Game With Foot Injury

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Tennessee forward Jabari McGhee won’t play Friday against Tennessee Tech because of an injury to his right foot.
McGhee, a 6-foot-8 freshman, hurt his foot Wednesday in an 83-72 loss at North Carolina State. Tennessee announced Thursday that McGhee wouldn’t be available for the Tennessee Tech game.
The school had no word on how long McGhee might be out. Tennessee (4-4) announced on the men’s basketball program’s Twitter account that McGhee "will continue to be evaluated."
McGhee’s injury comes a week after the announcement that sophomore forward Dominic Woodson was transferring and adds to Tennessee’s frontcourt depth problems. Tennessee doesn’t have a single player with a listed weight above 220 pounds.
McGhee is averaging 4.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 12.9 minutes per game.
