Vols Searching For Fast Start in First Quarter

The Vols offense would finally love to get off to a fast start on Saturday night against South Carolina. Tennessee has struggled to score in the first quarter this season. In seven games, there only touchdown in the first period came on a blocked punt against ETSU. Against Florida, Georgia, and Alabama, the Vols didn’t score a single point in the first period. Said head coach Jeremy Pruitt:”Been heavily involved in trying to figure out how to get going offensively to start the game. Some of it has to do with who we play. As the season has went, we have definitely improved offensively but so have our opponents as the season has went a little bit. We have got to figure out a way to score some points in the first quarter. We played behind almost every single game.”
