Walker County Public Meetings on Possible Millage Rate Increases

Public Encouraged to Attend Walker County Property
Tax Increase Meetings at Walker County Courthouse
Sept. 4th, 10 am and 6 pm, and Sept. 11th, 10 am

September 2, 2014 – Walker County, Georgia residents are facing a large property tax increase this year. Sole Commissioner Bebe Heiskell is proposing a 59-percent increase on county portion of property tax millage rates. Tax meetings will be held Thursday, September 4th at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. and again on September 11th at 10 a.m. These meetings will be conducted in the third-floor courtroom at the Walker County Courthouse in LaFayette, Georgia. Please attend these meetings and voice your opinion about this property tax increase.
