Weekend eclipse glasses promotions in our area
CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) The hunt is still on for eclipse glasses in our area.
(We hear some local Walmarts still have them, but you’ve got to ask).
And Spring City has a new shipment they are selling for $7 at City Hall.
Some companies and organizations have been holding back for the last weekend.
Here are some options still open for you, but all supplies are limited, so you better get there early.
SATURDAY
Hardee’s Restaurants
Hardee’s is running a promotion for stores in the totality zone only on Saturday morning.
WHERE: Bradley, Meigs, McMinn, Loudon, Monroe counties plus the Ocoee location.
WHEN: Beginning at noon as long as the last.
THE DEAL: Buy a combo, get a pair of glasses. 1 pair per combo meal, limit 5 per customer. Morning customers will have to get back in line for the noon giveaway. Not many at each restaurant so they won’t last long.
MONDAY
Goodwill Stores
Goodwill is giving away 200 glasses at each of their stores (EXCLUDING THE OUTLET STORE) on Monday.
WHERE: 14 locations, Chattanooga, East Ridge, Northgate, East Brainerd, Highway 58, Cleveland (Grove & Paul Huff), Athens, Dayton, Dunlap, Kimball, Fort Oglethorpe, Lafayette, Chatsworth
WHEN: 9AM Monday
THE DEAL: limit 1 per person
Shoney’s Restaurants
Shoney’s is giving away glasses with their meals on eclipse day.
WHERE: All locations, including Kimball, Shallowford Village, and Athens.
WHEN: Beginning at opening at 6AM
THE DEAL: Shoney’s offers a FREE Eclipse Survival Kit – a pair of solar eclipse glasses and a complimentary Chocolate Double Decker MoonPie® with the purchase of any entrée, sandwich or buffet while supplies last. Guests may also purchase the survival kit without meal purchase for $3.00.
